The most awaited news for the women cricket fans is here. The Board of control for Cricket in India(BCCI) has decided to conduct a 3 team women’s IPL 2020 (a mini version of Women’s IPL) that’s getting to be held in UAE from 1st November to 10th November.
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly confirmed the news Women’s IPL or the Challenger series , because it is best known, is “very much on”.
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, further added,in the IPL governing council meeting “I can inform you that the women’s IPL is extremely much on and that we do have an idea in situ for the national team also,”.
“The women’s Challenger series is probably going to be held between November 1-10 and there might be a camp before that,” the source said. the previous India captain also said that the centrally contracted women players will have a camp which has been delayed thanks to the prevailing situation within the country.
“We couldn’t have exposed any of our cricketers — be it male or female to health risk. it might are dangerous,” Ganguly said. “The NCA also remained shut due to COVID-19. But we’ve an idea in situ and that we will have a camp for ladies , I can tell you that,” he added.
The BCCI’s cricket operations team is chalking up a schedule where Indian women are likely to possess two full-fledged white-ball series against South Africa and therefore the West Indies before playing the ODI World Cup in New Zealand.
The Indian team hasn’t played cricket since March when it participated within the final of the T20 World Cup where the India side were runner-ups.
