Son of former West Indies captain, Floyd Reifer, Raymon Reifer is one among those rare cricketers, who started his career as a batting all-rounder but over the years, he’s became a real bowler. Cricket is in Reifer’s blood as his father, cousin and uncles have played professional cricket at various levels. Having made his first-class debut for Combined Campuses and Colleges in 2011, Reifer has scored over 2000 runs with the bat and also picked up 159 wickets at a mean of 24.81 in 70 matches which provides an inkling of his all-round skills.
The 2016-17 season gave him an opportunity to the Windies Test squad for the house series against England after he put up outstanding performances for Guyana within the domestic circuit. Albeit, the debut didn’t come easily for the all-rounder as he had to attend for his share of due. And his dreams were finally realized when Reifer got a chance to form his debut against New Zealand in October 2017. He did not have any eye-catching outing but impressed one and every one together with his tenacity and courage to fight valiantly. Two years later, Reifer made his white-ball debut for West Indies within the Tri-series in Ireland and icing on the cake was included within the reserves for the planet Cup 2019.
