IPL 2020 tournament is past midway now. All the teams have played seven matches each. Now, the mid-season transfer window has opened for the reshuffling of players. The teams which have not yet found their right combination must be looking forward to balance their side with the opportunity. Players can now change the franchise with the mutual consent of two teams. Big players like Chris Gayle, Ajinkya Rahane, Nathan Coulter Nile, and Imran Tahir can be seen in new jerseys and on the ground from next week. Check out the complete IPL 2020 News here.
13 players from Mumbai Indians, 9 from Delhi Capitals, 10 from Kolkata Knight Riders, 11 from Royal Challengers Bangalore, 13 from Sunrisers Hyderabad, 11 from Rajasthan Royals, 10 from Chennai Super Kings, and 13 from Kings XI Punjab have qualified for mid-season transfer. These include some of the big cricketers who haven’t yet made to the ground because of the already playing combination on the ground. Only 4 overseas players can be in the Playing XI for any team and such is a problem for players like Chris Gayle and Imran Tahir. Chris Lynn, Nathan Coulter Nile, Ajinkya Rahane, and Deepak Hudda are some of the players who must be looking forward to this shuffling.
Only the players who haven’t played more than 2 matches for their team yet, will be on the table for reshuffling. Any player will be transferred only after the consent of both dropping and catching franchises. The mid-season transfer window facility was introduced in the IPL last year. In Indian Premier League 2019, a five-day window was opened for the transfer of uncapped players. This year, capped players can also be bid again. Any franchisee will have to pay 50 percent of the amount within 7 days of registration and the remaining amount within 7 days of the last match of the IPL 2020 tournament.
