Fearless Indians breach Gabba to come out victorious in perhaps cricket’s greatest underdog story of all time

Thanks to the wonderful 123 run partnership by the tail ending side batsmen Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur, India safely made its way into the game after the final whistle of 3rd day at the last and final test match against Australia at Gabba, Brisbane this Sunday.

Both Washington and Thakur played a very key role, as their 123 runs solid partnership formed what we can say as the possible match-winning partnership for India on day 3.

After finishing the 1st innings in just 336 runs, the two youngsters really steered the path well for the Indian National Team.

Meanwhile, Australia scored 369 in their 1st innings, which was ended at the end of the day with a lead of 21 runs without any wickets. Post which, a small partnership between Harris and Warner somehow squeezed Australia out to a lead of 54 runs.

Starting the Indian lineup, Cheteswar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane made a mere 57 runs in total before both were out in the morning session itself. Followed by Mayank and Pant, India lost 4 of their wickets when the latter two got out by just adding 61 runs to the team tally. Only then came the star of the innings Washinton who made a partnership of 25 runs with Pant, before he was bowled by Josh Hazlewood. Shardul Thakur and Washinton Sundar then formed the crucial and much-needed partnership about which is everyone talking about right now.

In total, the performance by the Indian National team was good, but the unexpected and brilliant partnership from the much-lauded Washinton Sundar and Shardul Thakur was the moment of the Day.

Day 4 Test Highlights:-

With the need of 324 runs, Ajinkya Rahane and Co. are expected to chase and win the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2021. After reaching just 4/0 in the extended final session on Monday evening, rain, unfortunately, stopped the play for the day. India was able to play only 1.5 overs before the sheets came onto the pitch and players were ordered to go back to the pavilion.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill remained unbeaten as India went back and ended the day. Meanwhile, the weather report of the final day of the Border Gavaskar test is not so good and everyone in the Australian squad is praying to god to make rain stay away, the only way to win the Brisbane test and win the Border Gavaskar test series.

After Steve Smith scored the highest run of 55 from 74 balls, Marcus Harris, Cameron Green, David Warner, and Tim Paine each added 38, 37, 48, and 27 to squeeze out Australia for a much defendable score than before.

Thanks to the star Indian bowler Mohd. Siraj, who picked up his Maiden 5 Wicket in 19.5 overs conceding just 73 runs and Shardul Thakur, the man of the day before showed another brilliant performance by taking the remaining 4 wickets. India was successful in limiting Australia’s lead to just 33 runs.

Day 5 Test Highlights:-

India lead by Ajinkya Rahane pulled off one of the greatest test match win against Australia in Australia. India was successful in chasing 328 runs in the 4th Innings, which lead them to winning the series 2-1 and clinch history.

Youngster Subman Gill’s 91 runs made the backbone of India’s last innings play which was later on solidified by a much better performance by Rishabh Pant, who was unexpectedly promoted to the number 5 position. After reaching 183 at the tea break, India needed 146 runs to win, which was successfully chased down, thanks to Rishabh Pant’s historic 89 runs in 138 balls.
