Even after facing racial comments from the Australian fans, the Indian batting team maintain their calm and proceeded with the gameplay. Opening batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a decent start to team India. Captain Ajinkya Rahane struggled in the second innings of the match and just made four runs. Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara were the run firing machine for team India. Pant and Pujara scored 97 runs and 77 runs, respectively, to lower the required runs for victory. As the Australia batting line up doubled the bowing attack, R. Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari were the real heroes of the match. Both the players almost faced the entire bowling line up of Australia and played for almost three hours to draw the match. Not only this but both the players also got injured in the play by bouncers and fast deliveries by Australian bowlers. In the end, the exceptional performance by tail-enders turned out to be a nightmare for Australia. The bowling line up of Australia tested every single delivery to dismiss the tail-enders.
