Indian cricket team is on an Australian soil now to play three ODIs and a T20 International series, followed by a four-match Test series between the two teams. Team India won the Test series on their last Australian tour and also became the first Asian team to do so. Former Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath believes Australia will have a better chance of winning this Test series and one player will become the X factor for the Australian Side.

McGrath said, “Australia has an advantage against India this time and the biggest reason for this will be the lethal bowling of left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Though, India also have good fast bowlers and they might also be a bit excited as they have won the last series here.” McGrath added, ‘Umesh Yadav has the edge while Mohammed Shami has a good catch. They both have the ability to swing the ball both sides and Jasprit Bumrah has his own class. He is very strong, mentally. His third and second spell are just as dangerous as his first spell. India have players who will be a tough challenge when they are in form.”

He said, ‘On the other hand, the Australian team has the world’s number one bowler Pat Cummins, who contributes 100 percent in every game. Apart from this, the Australian team has left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc. When he is in his best form, he can easily take four-five wickets. The bowling of both the teams is excellent but Mitchell Starc is someone who stands Australia ahead in the rivalry.

Regarding Australia’s bouncy pitches, McGraw said, “Australia’s bouncy pitches used to create problems for the Indian batsmen but I don’t think the Australian wickets have the same bounce now. However, the win in the last series would have boosted their morale considerably. McGrath, who has taken over 500 wickets in Test matches for Australia, added, “The first Test match is going to be fun. It will be a day-night match. India has not played any day-night test in Australia. After the sun sets, it will help the fast bowlers a lot at night. Your batting or bowling performance will depend a lot on timing.”

The teams are ready to battle each other and Test Cricket will be soothing to watch after the fast paced IPL T20 Tournament. Cricdaddy Live Cricket Updates will be available for all games of the tournament as usual.
