Cricdaddy.com brings to you some preview so that you are all set for tomorrow. Here is what you need to know about the two teams:
2019 wasn’t a great one for the Tallawahs, they were able to win just two out of their ten games. They were unable to make the playoffs last season. This is why this year, we are expected to see the fierceness in the field.
The start of 2020 has not been great for them, with Chris Gayle quitting and joining the Zouks. They have been champions in 2013 and 2016, so will 2020 get them a hat rick championship? Let cricdaddy.com evaluate their strengths and weaknesses for you to help you better decide for tomorrow.
Strengths- They have roped in some stars under their banner, south African leg spinner Tabrez Shamsi, leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane to shore up their bowling. Popular Caribbean top players like Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Jermaine Blackwood, Rovman Powell, captain of last season, Chadwick Walton, the wicket-keeper, pacer Oshane Thomas and more. This is making us extremely hopeful.
Weaknesses- There is a lot of pressure on Russell and Brathwaite to make an impactful batting, which is stressful for the players and can, affect their performance. Also, the team is heavily dependent on Shamsi and Lamichhane with bowling. As for the rest of the team members, we doubt their impact on the game if the big names fall short.
St Lucia Zouks
Among all the teams this year, they are looking the weakest. St Lucia Zouks came into CPL after the contract with Stars was canceled.
Strengths– An extremely motivating captain in Daren Sammy, useful T20 players like Mohammad Nabi, wicket keeper and batsman Andre Fletcher, and of course, Chemar Holder.
Weaknesses- It was quite a blow for them when Chris Gayle withdrew himself from the CPL T20 games this year. They have a squad of players who do not have the exposure at this level and might be under immense performance stress.
Weather Conditions- Predictions around a thunderstorm is there, the sun might be scarce tomorrow, expected temperature of around 30to32 degrees Celsius is anticipated.
Pitch Condition- Batting first for tomorrow’s match should be the right choice keeping the slow and sluggish pitch in mind.
