CPL 2020 Match 17, Cricdaddy Match Live Updates: The defending champions Barbados Tridents will be up against the in-form Trinbago Knight Riders yet another time, today, in the Cricdaddy CPL 2020 Tournament. In the first clash between the two teams earlier in the tournament, the Riders over-powered the Tridents pretty easily to secure their third win in the tournament. Tridents will now be looking forward to paying the debt back. The champions, however, doesn’t look to be in their best shape as they lost their all last three matches against St. Lucia Zouks, Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and have reached the third position in the points table. They need to get back their rhythm by settling the dues against Riders. Check out Today’s Match Prediction here.
Date: 29th August (Saturday)
Time: 10:00 AM Local, 07:30 PM IST
Venue: Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad
Pitch Condition: The wet outfield can make the conditions a bit against the bowlers and especially spinners. The team batting second might get the advantage of the pitch conditions so winning the toss will be really important for both sides. The team batting first must try to score around 170 to get comfortable while fielding.
Barbados Tridents: It won’t be easy for the Tridents to trouble the TKR as they are in their best form. They have to work on their strategy against Pollard and Bravo. Rashid Khan and Hayden Walsh Jr were very expensive in the last encounter, so the pacers must get the early wickets to expose the middle order of TKR. Scoring against Sunil Naraine will also be a challenge for Anderson and J Charles. Openers J Carter and K Mayers must get a good start for the team to build a strong inning over it.
Expected Playing XI: Johnson Charles, Kyle Mayers, Corey Anderson, Jonathan Carter, Shai Hope, Jason Holder, Mitchell Santner, Ashley Nurse, Raymon Reifer, Rashid Khan and Hayden Walsh Jr.
Trinbago Knight Riders: Riders just need to continue their form to wash off the Tridents. The batting side is pretty strong with Munro, Simmons, Pollard and Bravo on top while Sunil Naraine can be a valuable hitter, if required. The frontline bowlers conceived too many boundaries in the last game and only Naraine and F Ahmed impressed with their figures. D Bravo and J Seals must work on their length to restrict the flow of the runs. Additionally, Riders do have a clear psychological advantage against the Trident that they must utilize.
Expected Playing XI: Colin Munro, LMP Simmons, Kieron Pollard, Darren Bravo, SP Narine, Dwayne Bravo, Tim Seifert, Fawad Ahmed, Ali Khan, Jayden Seales, Khary Pierre.
