Amit Mishra and Bhuvneshwar Kumar ruled of the tournament after receiving injuries

The Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals have suffered a major setback in the IPL 2020 tournament that can weaken their chances to claim the title. Match winner bowler from both these franchises has bowled out of the tournament. Amit Mishra has ruled out of the DC after receiving a finger fracture while Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be dropped from Hyderabad due to his hip injury. Delhi was scheduled to take on against Royal Challengers Bangalore this evening (05 October), but the sad news surfaced just before the match. Charismatic spinner Amit Mishra has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to the injury. Mishra received this injury in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Sharjah ground.

Amit is the second highest wicket-taker in the IPL. He has claimed 160 wickets, while only Lasith Malinga with 170 wickets is ahead of him. If he had played this tournament, he might have crossed Malinga to become the highest wicket-taker. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was hurt during his last over against CSK. Because of his hip injury, he could not even complete his over. In his place, Khalil Ahmed completed the 19th over, while Abdul bowled the last over of the innings. Bhuvi’s injury is a big setback for Hyderabad. This fast bowler has been playing a key role in the success of his team.

Both DC and SRH are performing well in this tournament with 3 and 2 wins respectively. With premiere bowlers out of the squad, the captains must come up with some quick damage control. The tournament is in a stage of neck to neck fight and having your best performers by your side is vital.
